Entry Gates

Please enter via Chelsea Gate or Barrack Gate, whichever is more convenient for you. London Gate will not be in general use.

The box office is located inside Barrack Gate on Ranelagh Gardens. The box office will open on each event day from 5pm to approximately 9pm.

The following is for general information; however we strongly recommend that you check resources such as the Transport for London website to get information on any disruptions.

London Underground

Sloane Square Underground Station (District and Circle Lines)
There are two entrances in use for the concert series. These are Chelsea Gate and Barrack Gate.

For Chelsea Gate – Turn left out of the station, down Holbein Place. After approximately 300m turn right on to Royal Hospital Road, then walk straight for approx. 500m till you reach Chelsea Gate.

For Barrack Gate – Turn left out of the station, down Holbein Place. After approximately 300m turn right on to Royal Hospital Road, take the next left down Chelsea Bridge Road after approx. 150m you will arrive at Barrack Gate.

Pimlico Underground station (Victoria line)
All guests – When leaving the stations main exit, head straight down Lupus Street. After approximately 500m turn right down Sutherland Street and follow this road round, sticking to the pavement on the left hand side of the road. You will then reach the Chelsea Bridge Road/Royal Hospital Road junction after roughly 1km. For Barrack Gate, turn left at this junction, after crossing the road, and you will see the Barrack Gate entrance. For Chelsea Gate, continue straight down Royal Hospital Road and you will see the Chelsea Gate entrance after 400m.

National Rail

The Closest National Rail station is London Victoria. Please see www.nationalrail.co.uk for details.

From here you can catch a bus to the venue –
For Barrack Gate, get the 211 (to Hammersmith) from Victoria Station – getting off at Royal Hospital Road. From here you can walk straight down Chelsea Bridge Road and the entrance for Barrack Gate will be on the right hand side.

For Chelsea Gate, get the 170 (to Roehampton) from Victoria Station – getting off at the National Army Museum. From here you will see the entrance to Chelsea Gate.

Bus

Bus routes 170, 137, 360, and 452 all stop within close vicinity of the Royal Hospital.

(Please note – if you are coming from outside of London – London Buses no longer take cash, so please make sure you have either an Oyster card or a contactless credit/debit card, as these work in the same way as an Oyster card)

Road

We strongly recommend that you do not drive as there will be no parking onsite, and we cannot guarantee that you will be able to park in the surrounding areas.

Bicycle

There is no specific bike parking at the venue but the venue is accessible cycle routes on nearby roads.

Taxi

If you plan on getting a taxi, you will have to state a different address dependant on which Entry Point ticket you have.

For Barrack Gate, please give the taxi driver the follow address – Barrack Gate, Chelsea Bridge Road, SW3

For Chelsea Gate, please give the taxi driver the following address – Chelsea Gate, Royal Hospital Road, SW3 4NL

Air

The Royal Hospital, Chelsea is in close proximity to all of the main London airports: London City (11 miles), Heathrow (16 miles), Luton (34 miles), Gatwick (39 miles) and Stansted (41 miles). Trains run from all of these airports to London where you can pick up a train or tube to Sloane Square Underground station, Pimlico Underground station or Victoria station.

Accessibility

The concert arena at the Royal Hospital Chelsea has a good level of accessibility. The paths and roads at the entrances are well surfaced and there are ramps between levels.

Wheelchair accessible toilets will be available and are located on the South Terrace.

Unfortunately we are not able to provide parking within the Royal Hospital site so existing disabled bays in the area should be used if required. People qualifying for accessibility tickets are entitled to receive an additional personal assistants ticket when purchasing their own.

Please ensure that you specify during your booking whether you require space for a wheelchair so that we can prepare the area prior to your arrival.
